City and County Library in Greiz

The Greizer library offers you a collection of approximately 60,000 media of all sorts.  The integrated musical library, unique in this area, includes a collection with a broad spectrum of  sheet music and CDs in all genres.  You will find literature about Greiz and its history in the Regional Department; the Gunther-von-Hagen special collection is especially interesting.  As a special service for our guests, we offer eight public computers with internet connections.  The Greizer library has been a participant in the Thuringia-Online Association since 24 October 2008, so that our guests can use various electronic media via Web-Opac (e-books, software, audio books).  The Greizer library considers itself to be an educational facility, cooperating with the various schools, and serves as a natural attraction for children and youth.  In general, the Greizer library has evolved into a communications center, inviting one to linger, to read and study, to engage in pleasant discussions.

The Greizer library offers frequent tours through the building and draws ones attention to readings, exhibits, and other programs.
